Important Hint: Our Icecast2 streaming servers are configured to stream both alternatively Ogg / Vorbis format or MP3 format. If you prefer streaming in MP3 format, please use the mountpoint /stream/<number> If you want to stream in Ogg / Vorbis format, please use the mountpoint /stream/<number>.ogg (please note the '.ogg' extension) Please make sure that use configure the correct encoder type for your selected mountpoint. Setup for Winamp Player using Oddcast plugin Easiest way to get started with streaming is using the Winamp player. Most of you will already know this software. You can download Winamp here form the Winamp website. Nullsoft (the company who developped Winamp) offers different version of this famous player software. If you like the free version, think about supporting their concept by buying a full-featured version later. As the Winamp is only a player software and you want to broadcast, you will need a tiny broadcasting solution - a plugin for winamp. Such a plugin broadcasting in Ogg/Vorbis format is the Oddcastv3 plugin. After you downloaded and installed it, you should start Winamp. The plugin is started automatically, then. For configuration you have to add a new encoder first. Use the appropriate button as shown in the plugin screenshot below. Thereafter right-click the newly created encoder (marked with a red frame in the pic below) and select 'configure' from the context menu.		Setup für Winamp Player mit Oddcast plugin Der einfachste Weg mit dem Streamen zu beginnen ist die Verwendung des Winamp Players. Die meisten werden diese Software bereits kennen. Du kannst den Winamp Player hier downloaden. Nullsoft (die Winamp Entwicklerfirma) bietet hier verschiedene Versionen mit unterschiedlichem Funktionsumfang an. Wenn dir die kostenlose Version gefällt, ist es eine gute Idee später die Super-Luxus-Version zu kaufen - schon allein um das gute Konzept zu unterstützen. Da der Winamp Player nur eine Abspielsoftware ist und du eigentlich im Internet senden möchtest, brauchst du also eine kleine und handliche Broadcasting - also Sende-Software. Es gibt hier ein Plugin für Winamp. Wenn du über einen Icecast2 Server Ogg / Vorbis Streams senden möchtest - und davon handelt diese Anleitung hier - dann brauchst du das Oddcastv3 plugin. Dieses Plugin erlaubt es jeden Sound, den der Winamp Player abspielt direkt über einen Icecast2 Server zu senden. Um das Plugin nach der Installation zu starten, brauchst du nur Winamp aufzurufen. Das Plugin wird automatisch ebenfalls gestartet. Für die Konfiguration musst du zuerst einen neuen Encoder hinzufügen. Der richtige Button wird im unten stehenden Screenshop angezeigt. Anschließend machen Sie einen Rechts-Klick auf den neu hinzugefügten Encoder (im unten stehenden Bild rot markiert) und wählen Sie 'Configure' aus dem Context-Menue.
In the configuration window (as shown below) you have to enter the information you will receive when buying / renting a broadcasting stream from one of our vendors in Second Life. The server IP and port number (marked with red circles below) are describing our station hardware. For server IP you enter our server name which is always in the form 'streamXX.annuna.net' where 'XX' is a two-digit number. The port number is usually 8888. The stream you bought comes with the specific information like your streams mountpoint and the encoder password (marked green). Please copy this information carefully as a typo will result in connect problems. The item you receive from our vendors will display the necessary information after the stream was set up automatically. You will see the stream URL - e.g. http://stream01.annuna.net:8888/stream/1100 and a password. For setting up the mountpoint you only need the trailing part of the URL as the server name and port number are entered in the fields above. Please do not forget to add the '.ogg' extension to your mountpoint when using Ogg/Vorbis format. (see above)		In das Konfigurationsfenster (siehe unten) müssen die Informationen eingetragen werden, welche von der erworbenen Icecast2 Box nach dem Setup angezeigt werden. Der Servername (oder IP-Adresse) und die Portnummer (markiert mit roten Kreisen im unten stehenden Bild) beschreiben dabei unsere Hardware. Zusätzlich erhältst du spezielle Informationen wie den Mountpoint und das Encoder password (grün markiert) für den gekauften Stream. Bitte kopiere diese Informationen so sorgfältig wie möglich um Tippfehler zu vermeiden. Die Icecast2 Box, welche du aus einem unserer automatischen Vendoren (Verkaufsautomaten) in Second Life beziehen kannst, werden nach dem Rezzen und einfachen Ankicken vollautomatisch einen Stream auf unserem Icecast2 Server konfigurieren.
When all configuration is done you return to the initial plugin window by clicking the 'OK' button. Now you can start your stream by starting Winamp with your favourite music and simply press the 'Connect' button in the plugin window. Now your friends are able to listen to your audio stream as long as you are broadcasting. Simply enter the full length URL you received from the vendor item in your lands media tab (Musik URL) and press enter. Your friends (as they are standing with you on the land you own) will have to press the play button on their screens once in order to receive the stream. Please also note that you rent the stream for a specific number of people and a defined time. If you rent a stream for 3 people, only 3 people will be able to connect to your stream. The forth person on your land will not be able to listen to your music. And - obviously - after the time is over you rented the stream for - you will not be able to connect to the server for broadcasting any more. Take the time to think a moment about what you are broadcasting. You are responsible for the sound files you use. If you have read all this and there are still some problems you cannot solve or some questions left unanswered, please contact me ingame. There is a seldom occurring fault when using the oddcast plugin: If you have double-checked all configuation data and you are still unable to connect to the streaming server, please reinstall the plugin (first remove it, then re-install). Especially after having switched a few times between oddcast and shoutcast plugin this blocking situation may occur. In very tricky situations it may be necessary to re-install the whole Winamp player software in order to remove the blockage.		Wenn diese Konfiguration abgeschlossen ist, kannst du zum ursprünglichen Plugin Fenster zurück kehren indem du 'OK' klickst. Du kannst nun deine DJ-Karriere starten, indem du mit Winamp beliebige Sounddateien abspielst und einfach nur den 'Connect' Button im Plugin-Fenster betätigst. Nun sollten deine Freunde in Second Life deinen Audio Stream hören können. Dazu brauchst du nur noch die vollständige URL aus der Icecast2 Box in das Media Tab deines Landes einzutragen (diesmal mit 'http'). Deine Freunde sollten auf deinem Land stehen und brauchen nur nur noch den PLAY Knopf auf ihrem Bildschirm (im Second Life Programm) zu betätigen - und schon hören sie deine Musik. Bitte beachte unbedingt, dass du einen Stream für eine bestimmte Anzahl von Hörern und für eine bestimmte Zeitdauer mietest. Wenn du einen Stream für 5 Leute mietest, können auch nur 5 Leute deinen Stream hören. Die sechste Person auf deinem Land wird einfach keine Musik hören können, weil der Streaming Server keine weitere gleichzeitige Verbindung mehr akzeptiert. Natürlich wird der Streaming Server nach Ablauf der Mietdauer automatisch beendet und du wirst nicht mehr über diesen Server senden können. Bitte nimm dir außerdem die Zeit einmal darüber nachzudenken, was du senden möchtest. Es gibt rechtliche Bestimmungen (GEMA), in du berücksichtigen solltest. Ein kleines Webradio kostet kein Vermögen an GEMA-Gebühren - aber du bist selber dafür verantwortlich. Nachdem du nun dies alles gelesen hast - und es bestehen noch immer Probleme oder offene Fragen, so kontaktiere bitte einen von uns in Second Life. Es gibt einen selten auftretenden Fehler bei Verwendung des Oddcast plugins: Wenn Sie trotz wiederholter Überprüfung sämtlicher Konfigurationsdaten partout keine Verbindung zum Server erhalten, installieren Sie das Plugin bitte neu (erst de-installieren, dann neu installieren). Insbesondere wenn Sie zwischenzeitlich auch das SHOUTcast plugin verwendet hatten und möglicherweise mehrmals zwischen beiden Plugins gewechselt haben, kann es zu diesem blockierenden Verhalten kommen. In besonders hartnäckigen Fällen kann eine Neuinstallation der gesamten Winamp-Playersoftware weiter helfen.
